We’re off tomorrow to Kruger National Park, SA for 2 days. I don’t think we intend to drive very far into it. I’ll take the camera.
Hopefully I will get paid next week. The guidebooks and sites mozguide say cirrus ATMs are most prevalent, but just about every ATM is visa/electron network, not cirrus/maestro. Only Banco Austral (”southern bank”) has maestro/cirrus. I opened a new account in the UK in prep, just to get a debit card with such a badge. So, today I managed to escape work for 20 mins to venture to a Banco Austral, to queue (i.e. sweat, squint) and to use such an ATM, and to be rewarded by consumption, retention of my card. joy. At 3.30pm, so the bank was closed. But no problem, because the last thing I needed was money, and I put the card in the machine because I didn’t want it, either.
